Annual Hiking Trip
Every year the club members plan a road trip where we hike for five days enjoying fun, fitness, & friendship!  Over the years, we have hiked in the White Mountains, NH; Gaspesie, Quebec; Prince Edward Island; Fundy National Park and the Acadian Peninsula, New Brunswick; Gros Morne, Newfoundland and many locations around Nova Scotia. The 2019 trip will be in the beautiful Cape Breton Highlands.  For early-bird park passes call 902-224-2306 or 902-285-2535 before June 30. Cape Breton 2019 brochure

These trips are planned by volunteers from the club – hike leaders are not professional guides. Anyone attending is at their own risk.  Please see our Conditions of Participation.

Our online membership continues to grow with 682 members joining us on Facebook as of December 2018. Find us at

As a result of recycling efforts, the Club’s name is permanently inscribed on The Great Trail Pavilion located on the waterfront at the Alderney Gate Events Plaza in Dartmouth.

We are still collecting recyclables to redeem for meters of the Great Trail (Trans Canada Trail).  If you would like to donate your recyclables to this effort, please bring them to any walk or phone Judy Everard 902-462-1458 and arrangements can be made to have them picked up.

At our Annual Picnic,  held at the Mount Uniacke hike in July, the club and members usually donate to a different local charity chosen at our AGM each year.
